About Alison
Alison is a graduate of The University of Delaware where she earned her bachelor's in music. Alison enjoys using her knowledge and experience to inspire students of all ages and levels. Her teaching career spans 18 years working with all ages from infants to seniors. She specializes in young children's music and worked with many popular children's music programs in the greater Philadelphia area before co-founding Jump, Jive, & Jam. She has taught numerous singing workshops and has directed the "Grand School of Music" children's choir. More recently, she has been developing a program for young children's yoga and music fusion. Alison teaches private piano, guitar and voice lessons.
Alison's performance career started at age 3 where she began working in television and professional theatre and had leads in several off-broadway productions. She was also featured regularly singing on television shows such as “Al Albert’s Showcase” and “Focus Delaware." Alison has performance experience touring all over the U.S with her band, AlyCat, and also David Bromberg and Angel Band, and has shared the stage with national acts such as Rusted Root, G. Love and Special Sauce, Levon Helm, Joan Osborne, David Bromberg, Kenny Rogers, The Heavy Pets, and many more.
